4 1/2 Cups (1 Litre) Beefsteak Club Mendoza Malbec
2 Cinnamon Sticks
6 Whole Cloves
3 Cardamon Pods, slightly crushed
2 Large Oranges
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1 1/4 Cups (10 Ounces) Brandy
Take an orange and remove the peel in strips. Then juice the orange. Slice a second orange into rounds and reserve for a zingy garnish for your Mulled Malbec
Mix your orange peel, juice and the rest of the ingredients in a nonreactive saucepan. Next, stir the mixture over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. This should take about 2 minutes. Turn heat to high and let the mixture boil – then reduce the heat to low. Next, allow the liquid to simmer for about 30 minutes. Finally strain and discard the solids. Ladies and gents, your Mulled Malbec is good to go.
Time to serve! Ladle your wine into cups or mugs and garnish with an orange round.
