Beefsteak Club was thrilled to sponsor the steak round at the British Open BBQ Championship 2021. The challenge took place at the Smoke & Fire Festival held in Colchester on the 21st and 22nd August.
The steaks were high for the fifteen teams that entered the BBQ contest. We gave each a tasty Tomahawk from Tom Hixon of Smithfield and a bottle of Beefsteak Club wine to prepare the dish. The only constraint was that they had to use the wine in an element of the cooking.
Expectations were even higher, and the teams did not disappoint!
The steaks were out of this universe with top marks for creativity and flair.
